It was a sad moment on Friday (11/19) when I pulled out my iPAQ h4155 after arriving home and depressed the power button only to receive no response from my trusty friend. I went through fifteen minutes of desperate action, but, alas, the little guy was gone. :-(
I think the two drops (oops!) that my laptop bag incurred on Friday were what did the iPAQ in. The drops were from approximately twenty-two inches off of the ground onto concrete. Curiously enough, my iPod and my Dell (C640) are just jiffy. :-)
Now comes a small dilemma: Do I replace it? I primarily used it for GPS (Pharos Ostia -would pick another next go) and development. At this point, I think I am going to let it ride, and concentrate a bit more heavily on the Windows Mobile for Smartphone platform (and on which phone to select to replace my aging and increasingly battered SPV E200). I am certain that some of you may think that there is one easy choice - an HTC Typhoon-based phone (SPV C500, iMate SP3/i, etc), but I'm not 100% on that device yet...
At any rate, I think that I may be able to open Feed Demon and catch up on blogs (I'm a few thousand posts behind) and start posting again as I think work has calmed down a smidge (i.e. < 60 hours)...but don't hold your breath, gentle reader, this project has been one heck of a roller coaster. ;-)
Question to ponder: Where did the phrase "gentle reader" originate? (A few minutes of Googling before I run off to bed tonight turns up nothing...maybe I'll search again from the airport in the morning)

Hello again, faithful reader. I've been too busy to blog as of late (working 18+ hour days will do that), and will likely continue to be, but I'll try to take a break or two to blog :-)
