Delta recently announced a reduction in fares up to 60% through a program called SimpliFares. Some local thoughts on the issue.
It's about damn time!
Fly another airline you say.. well, Delta pretty much owns CVG, so to get a flight out at a decent time Monday mornings, I don't have another choice. :-/ Please note, I really like Delta, actually, outside of the fare issue.
Anyway, my $700+ tickets to EWR or DCA are now less than $300. :-) I'm happy about that, and I'm sure my customer is as well.

A co-worker of mine sent me a link to an MPx-220 review on Howard Forums. Thanks, Jared.
Two words of note for today: dual core

Hello, readers! I have been busy, but I've got a spiffy data synchronization engine to show for it along with writing a few other nifty things for my Windows CE.NET-based project. I've also got a few East Coast things to blog about (my first time out here) in a separate entry. Last but not least, my wife and I celebrated our five year anniversary last week :-)

So I get a call from Doug this weekend who tells me he just bought a HP iPAQ h6315 (before they were supposed to be available, I might add). (score.) Since we both happen to be flying out to our respective project sites on Sunday evening, we decide to meet in Terminal B for dinner. I met up with Doug, but didn't have enough time for dinner since my flight was an hour earlier than I thought (oopsie!); however, I did have time to have a several minute hands-on experience with the h6315. :-) A thumbs up from me on this PPC PE device.
I still think that a PPC PE device with the form factor of a Treo 600 would be killer. Several of the Accenture guys on my project have one - I really like the size/weight/feel of this device. Granted, the screen size on this device is smaller than one might normally find on a Pocket PC; however, I think that it is certainly workable (particularly if the device is running WM2003 SE).
I'm going to be swapping out my SPV E200 by the end of 2004, and currently I'm considering the HP h6315, Orange C500, Motorola MPx220, and (yet unreleased) Motorola MPx. I really like having physical buttons to dial with (is that old school?), so I'm a bit partial to the Smartphone offerings; however, the MPx still gets my attention, not to mention the HTC Blue Angel

Mike beat me to it: ROM v2.7.1.1 for Orange SPV E200 has been released
Hopefully this addresses a lot of the weird behavior I've had recently: Bluetooth turning on at a whim, lock-ups, and inability to keep up a GPRS connection.

UPDATE: I updated to 2.7.1.1 yesterday; all is well :-)

One of my team members was having difficulty installing eMbedded Visual C++ recently (where the install fails immediately); we found the solution via Google:
