About Me
Born near Alliance, Ohio, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1997 with degree in Information Systems and Management (after I spent several years in the rocket scientist program, I realized I liked computer programming better). I now work for Avanade as a Principal Solution Developer. I'm a technical architect/senior developer type whose role includes all aspects of application architecture, software design and development, and my key technology area of mobility (primarily Windows Mobile). Over the course of my career, I have been involved in projects for companies across many industries, undertaking work from technical consulting and pre-sales through full lifecycle projects with teams of differing size. I am Microsoft Certified Professional, holding a MCSD (.NET) certification.
Outside of Avanade, I am active in the .NET Community through my participation on the Microsoft newsgroups and [MSDN] forums. I am also a co-Director of CINNUG, and can also be found speaking at various events in the Ohio/Kentucky/Michigan/Indiana area. For my community involvement, Microsoft has graciously awarded me an MVP award in the competency area of Device Application Development [2006, 2007, 2008].
My other interests include photography, cooking, and music. I live in the north-easternly suburbs of Cincinnati with my wife, son, and two cats who fear him. If you would like to get in touch with me, please drop me an e-mail: nino <dot> benvenuti <at> gmail <dot> com.
