Employee Review advice

John Porcaro has some, IMO, great advice on completing your annual review.   My colleagues and I are completing these now, too. 

Last year was the first year that that I had to do one of these like this (none of my prior employers ever did anything this thoroughly), and I was in the "Damn it, I have to write about myself. I hate writing about myself" mode.  Subsequently, I wrote not more than a paragraph for each section as I just wanted to get the thing off of my plate.   20/20 hindsight reveals that that wasn't the best thing I could have done.

After going through the process last year, I have a much better perspective on the importance of the ARF (annual review form) in the performance review process.  This year's will be more substantive. 'nuff said.
